On a road – a student film

This is a little film I made as part of my MA in Filmmaking from Raindance, years ago. The assignment was to write, plan, direct, shoot and edit a small film on any theme you cared about.

Being a migrant myself, it was a time I used to think and read a lot about immigration and the political sentiment towards and against it in the UK at the time. I heard a snippet on the radio where a politician criticised the way Muslim immigrants were ruining the British culture. That triggered the idea for this assignment.

This was filmed in the Peak District with a Canon 60D and a few of my friends.
